Ed and Cherie Auger,
Serving the Lord in the Cayman Islands

Bio

Ed and Cherie AugerRev. Ed and Cherie Auger serve on the Cayman Islands. Ed is the evangelistic missionary pastor of Safe Harbour Lutheran Church on Grand Cayman, which is an international mission congregation of the LCMS. Ed and Cherie seek to nurture and disciple the worshipping community of Safe Harbour and to develop and establish Christian education for youth and adults. They also are assisting the congregation in developing a new leadership training program.

Ed was born in Keene, N.H., and received his Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Ind. Cherie was also born in Keene and graduated from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., with a Bachelor of Arts in human development. The Augers have previously served as missionaries in Guatemala, at congregations in Florida and Texas, and as urban missionaries with Lutheran Inter-City Network Coalition, Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas. In his free time, Ed likes to pursue fishing, snorkeling, reading, and cooking. Cherie enjoys camping, water sports, and reading. Ed and Cherie have three grown children—son Edmund and his wife, Joanna, daughter Mary and her husband, Jason, and daughter Ana. They also have one granddaughter, Isabella.

Prayers

People from more than 100 nations are represented on the Cayman Islands. Ed and Cherie ask for prayers that “the Holy Spirit will guide the missionaries and the worshipping fellowship of Safe Harbour Lutheran Church to become a multi-cultural outreach and healing ministry.” Pray for the continued protection of our Heavenly Father upon Ed and Cherie, and that the Holy Spirit would constantly guide them as they serve in this unique ministry location.
