Pennsylvania Coll., Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; pres. of Capital U., Columbus, Ohio (1850–54), and of Illinois State U. (see Carthage College); Prot. Episc. cleric 1864. Founded Evangelical Review; other works include tr. of I. Acrelius'* hist. of New Swed.
