Joint Syn. of Ohio* and Other States. Pastor West Newton (then sometimes also called Robstown), Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania; New Lisbon, Columbiana Co., Ohio; withdrew from Ohio Syn. 1845 (see Document of Separation). Pastor Chicago, Illinois, 1846. Charter mem. of the Mo. Syn. Pastor Crete, Illinois, 1851; Rock Island, Illinois, 1858. Prof. teachers sem., Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Addison, Illinois, 1861–93. Coed.
