Pastor De Forest, Wisconsin, 1901–11; taught at United Ch. sem. 1906–07. Pres. Conc. Coll., Moorhead, Minnesota, 1911–25. Pres. The Norw. Luth. Ch. of Am. (name changed 1946 to The Ev. Luth. Ch.) 1925–54. Helped lay groundwork for the merger that resulted in formation of The ALC 1960.
