Ryan Volkman,
Serving the Lord in the Czech Republic
Bio

Ryan Volkman serves the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in the Czech Republic, where he teaches English-as-a-Foreign-Language classes as a way of building relationships and sharing the Gospel. Ryan also works with a mission organization within the Selesian Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession, the church body with whom the LCMS works in the Czech Republic. He prays that the relationships he builds through classes and interacting with people in the community leads to opportunities to share the Gospel in word and deed.
Ryan is a native of Archbold, Ohio, where his home congregation is St. James Lutheran Church. He earned a bachelor’s degree in pre-seminary studies from Concordia University, Ann Arbor, Mich. He previously served as a missionary in a similar role with the LCMS in Slovakia.. His hobbies include reading, running and playing the piano and organ.
Prayers
Please thank God for leading Ryan to this work and pray for him as he serves in the Czech Republic. Ryan asks, “Pray always for open hearts, that God will keep His promise that His Word will not come back empty and for opportunities to be able to share Christ.”
