Using the LCMS Congregational Locator and Statistics Application

 The LCMS Congregational Locator is designed to search for and identify congregations in one of the following manners:

• City alone (returns all congregations in that city no matter what state)
• State alone (returns all congregations in that state)
• City and state

• Zipcode alone (returns all congregations in that ZIP)
• Zipcode and mileage range (distance in miles from the ZIP's population centerpoint)

• District alone

1. Zipcode and mileage range (distance in miles from the ZIP's population centerpoint)
2. Zipcode alone (returns all congregations in that ZIP)
3. City and state
4. State alone (returns all congregations in that state)
5. City alone (returns all congregations in that city no matter what state)
6. District alone

Search Tips

 Sometimes abbreviations in the names of cities--such as "St. Louis"-- are spelled out in the database as "Saint Louis." Also, pronouns that begin with Mc, such as McHenry, may be found by typing "Mc Henry" (with a space between the "c" and "h"). Pronouns beginning with an "O'" such as O'Hara may be found by typing in "O Hara," again with a space between the "o" and the "h".
