Rev. H.R. Curtis
As coordinator for LCMS Stewardship Ministry, the Rev. H.R. Curtis produces and edits stewardship resources; plans and conducts national stewardship conferences; and helps coordinate stewardship efforts among LCMS entities.
Curtis has served since 2005 as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Worden, Ill., and Zion Lutheran Church, Carpenter, Ill. He was assistant pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Burr Ridge, Ill., from 2004 to 2005, and served as an adjunct professor of theology at Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, Ill., in 2005.
He is a regular contributor to theological journals, including Logia, Lutheran Forum and Concordia Journal, and theological conferences; an assistant editor for the works of Johann Gerhard; and a contributing translator for the new series of Luther's Works from Concordia Publishing House. His recent books include Ordering Our Days in His Peace (CPH), Daily Divine Service Book: A Lutheran Daily Missal (Lulu Press), Five Things You Can Do to Live a Jesus-Centered Life (CPH), and Stewardship Under the Cross: Stewardship for Confessional Lutheran Parishes (available as a free download from www.lcms.org/stewardship).
A 2004 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Curtis also holds a master’s degree in classical studies from Washington University, St. Louis.
Rev. Nathan M. Meador
As assistant coordinator for LCMS Stewardship Ministry, the Rev. Nathan M. Meador is helping to raise awareness of the need for biblical and confessional stewardship in the LCMS. He also writes the monthly e-newsletter “StewardCAST.”
Meador has served as pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Plymouth, Wis., since 2009. Previously he was pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Staunton, Ill. (2003-09); Zion Lutheran Church, Aniwa (Town of Easton), Wis. (1998-2003); and Trinity and Zion Lutheran churches, Sheldon and Gilman, Wis., respectively (1996-98).
He has served on the LCMS Southern Illinois District Board of Congregational Support focusing on stewardship and has been the chairman of stewardship task forces in both that district and the LCMS South Wisconsin District. Meador is a frequent presenter and regular Worldwide KFUO show host. He also broadcasts “The Corner of Stafford and Main,” which airs daily at 5:45 p.m. CST on WSTM in Plymouth, Wis.
Meador is a 1996 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and has begun work toward a Doctor of Ministry degree.
