The Concordia University System is an organization that includes the ten Concordias, the colleges and universities of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. Each Concordia is unique, with its own president and faculty.
At the same time, each institution cooperates fully in the various System features designed to serve students and faculty efficiently. The partnership among the Concordias in the System allows the development of innovative educational services which each campus could not carry out alone.
... Ten Schools ...
The Concordia University System consists of:
10 colleges and universities
22,000 students
Over 1,500 full- and part-time faculty
Over 200 majors
One solid foundation, God's Word, for a Christ-centered educational environment
... One System ...
Overall, as with all healthy partnerships, this relationship makes each partner stronger. As part of the System each campus will be able to:
Introduce new technologies and student opportunities
Offer a wider variety of programs without the cost of addition of staff and facilities
Participate in nationwide imaging of Lutheran higher education
Provide courses to Lutheran high schools, offering college-level credits to high school students
... And You ...
In the Concordia University System, students will:
- Automatically be enrolled in the entire System upon enrollment in any of the institutions
- Be able to enroll in courses taught System-wide through distance learning technology called CUENet (Concordia University Educational Network)
- Be able to study for a semester or year at another campus without transferring or losing credits
- Have the option of graduating in less than four years by choosing the year-round study program
- Choose from a wider variety of courses
- Study and grow in a larger, more diverse, nationwide Lutheran educational community
