The Lord has prepared Stephanie to serve in this context through her education at Concordia University, St. Paul, where she studied English and education with a communication arts and literature focus. Stephanie completed a minor as a Lutheran classroom teacher as well. She also lived in Liberia for six years when her family served there as missionaries. Her home congregation is Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in St. Louis, Mo. Stephanie enjoys reading, writing, painting, traveling, photography, cooking, and athletics.

Stephanie asks for members of Christ’s body to consider supporting her through prayer, encouraging e-mails or letters, and financial support. She asks, “Please pray that I learn the language quickly and to the best of my ability. Pray also that I would be strong in my faith and a bold witness for God. Pray that my mind and heart would be open for sharing and listening and that the people who I serve also have hearts and minds open so that God’s work can be done. Please pray too that I am able to build and maintain strong, caring, and loving relationships with the students of CELA and the other missionaries who are serving with me. Finally, please pray for me to be an effective teacher and continual learner.”
