Jack and Cathy Carlos serve in Guinea, West Africa, as missionaries to the Maninka people. They seek to build relationships with Maninka men and women as they serve them through basic health care education, so that they may also share the Gospel message with them. Prior to leaving for Guinea, to prepare for their service, Jack and Cathy received basic health care education and attended French language school. Previously, they served as evangelistic missionaries in Liberia, Cote d-Ivoire, and Guinea in West Africa, and then at congregations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota.

Jack received his degree as a director of Christian outreach from the Oswald Hoffmann School of Christian Outreach at Concordia University, St. Paul. Jack and Cathy also both attended Golden Valley Lutheran College and the University of North Texas. In their free time, they enjoy reading, camping, and hiking. Jack and Cathy have two children, Raymond and Hannah, who attend school in the United States.

Pray that Jack and Cathy will learn the necessary health care education skills to benefit the Maninka people, that they will be able to learn the French and Maninka languages, and that the relationships they build with the Maninka will result in the opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them. Pray also for their children, Raymond and Hannah, who will remain in the United States attending school.
