Three-year-old Chea Malita was so moved by a lesson at Open Gate Christian Fellowship Daycare in Cambodia that she urged her family to borrow a videotape about Jesus from her teacher. She wanted her family to know, "Jesus Christ is God. He is very powerful. ... You can pray to Him!"

Open Gate in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, feeds and educates young children. It is a source of pride in a community with few resources. LCMS World Relief and Human Care has partnered with Open Gate Fellowship since 2002, financially supporting its work in education, human care, and Christian outreach.

All daycare activities are ultimately about receiving and responding to God’s love. The daycare and kindergarten offer Christian care and education to rich and poor without preferential treatment.
