Dr. Steve Christopher serves The LCMS as Associate Director of Children's and Family Ministry. In this role, Steve serves districts and congregations in the area of Family Ministry programming support, consulting, training, referrals, and resourcing.

Steve has 30 years of ministry experience in the LCMS as a DCE, Youth Director, Family Minister, and Director of Spiritual Care and Growth. He was a member of the faculty at Concordia University in Irvine, CA for over 10 years; and served on the executive staff of the California, Nevada, Hawaii District of The LCMS.

He received his BS from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, NE; an MA in Practical Theology from the University of San Diego, and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in La Mirada, CA. He is the author of numerous articles and curricular items in the area of child, youth and family ministry.

Steve has been married to his wife Dee for over 30 years and they have two grown children, LeAnna and Brett.
