Partnership. Commitment. Involvement.

The resources of the LCMS (gifts, talents, prayers, funds, etc.) are found in our 6,000-plus congregations. Mobilizing these valuable resources gifted to us by God, LCMS World Mission in partnership with Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball, Texas, has developed Congregation Connect. Congregation Connect is designed to equip, send, and support congregations and mission fields as the congregation and mission field work together to proclaim the message of hope and love we have in Christ.

Congregation Connect is designed to proclaim Christ through:

Partnership – Congregations will partner with mission fields in the sending of teams, resources, and other projects identified by the mission field and the congregation.

Commitment – Congregation and mission field will commit to walk together in mission for a minimum of five years.

Involvement – Congregations and mission field will seek to identify various opportunities for LCMS members to be actively involved in God's mission around the world.

The primary focus of Congregation Connect is the sending of workers into His harvest field through short-term mission trips. LCMS World Mission also hopes and prays that through these partnerships congregations and mission fields will work together to identify and resource various other needs. This could be completed through prayer, sending of GEO or career missionaries, financial support, and many other projects to which the Holy Spirit guides us.

LCMS World Mission is inviting its member congregations to walk beside us as we proclaim Christ crucified to the world through Congregation Connect.

Getting Involved:

Partner congregation— Congregations that partner with a mission field for a five-year commitment. Serving, praying, and supporting the field as led by the Spirit.
Mentoring congregation—Experienced congregations that partner with a mission field and are willing to take the time to mentor other congregations in short-term mission work.
Mentee congregation—Congregations with limited or no experience in short-term missions who would like to learn from an experienced congregation.
