School Leadership Development (SLED)

What is SLED?

The School Leadership Development Project seeks to identify and equip potential Lutheran elementary school principals. This is done through a process of nomination, selection, and training over the course of one academic year. The SLED Project has trained over 250 potential elementary school administrators in six years. A sixth group is currently undergoing training. Each group is required to attend three training events scheduled in June, March and June of the following calendar year. These training events are held in conjunction with the Lutheran Education Association LEAD Convention or the LEA Convocation.
