Keeping the Gospel Voice of salvation in Christ strong and vibrant

KFUO Radio is the nation’s longest continually running religious radio station. Richard Kretzschmar, John Fritz and Dr. Walter Maier, who originated the famed Lutheran Hour broadcast, founded the AM station in 1924. Three years later, they moved the station to its permanent home on the Concordia Seminary campus in St. Louis. KFUO added an FM channel in 1948.
Today, KFUO Radio’s nationally-recognized and award-winning programs broadcast the truth of God’s Word on more than 500 stations throughout the United States. Individuals from 129 countries have contacted us about our worldwide broadcasts over the Internet. The faithful prayers and support of listeners and friends enable KFUO to comfort the grief-stricken, educate the doubtful, and feed the spirits of listeners around the world. You can hear our Christ-centered programs over the Internet TODAY.
