Mission 21st Century Task Force - A report from the task force commissioned by President Kieschnick in the fall of 2002 to identify the major reasons for loss of membership in the LCMS; suggest changes to maintain faithfulness to our Lord's mission in the 21st century; and suggest actions in a report for the 2004 LCMS Convention that captures the mission heart of the church.

President's Select Blue Ribbon Task Force on Ecclesiastical Supervision and Dispute Resolution - A report from the task force commissioned by President Kieschnick in May 2003 to address possible changes to the 1992 Synodical Dispute Resolution process.

The Next Generation Task Force - A report and recommendations submitted by the special task force appointed by President Kieschnick in the summer of 2002 to examine the degree to which teachers in LCMS congregational schools have received the necessary theological training for their roles.

Report of the Blue Ribbon Task Force for Funding the Mission  
Resolution 4-07 of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod’s 2004 convention established the Blue Ribbon Task Force for Funding the Mission.  The task force was given the charge to present a "funding system" to the church one year prior to the 2007 convention of the Synod. In July 2006 the task force released this report to the Synod for its study, discussion and consideration.

Congregations and Synod:  Background Material on the Advisory Nature of The LCMS - In response to 2001 LCMS convention resolution 7-21, "To Promote Study of Art. VII and Bylaw 2.39," President Kieschnick makes this material available to the Synod and encourages study and discussion of its contents.

Challenging Growing Churches: Theological Affirmations - Commissioned by President Kieschnick in February 2003, The Commission on Theology and Church Relations (CTCR) drafted this report based and expanding on a 1991 report of the CTCR entitled "A Theological Statement of Mission" specifically addressing congregations experiencing significant numerical growth.
