The President's office is undertaking an initiative, "One Mission Ablaze: Igniting Congregations," to challenge the congregations of the Synod to reach more people with the Gospel message. Read more about the initiative in a story from the May 2003 issue of The Reporter.

In February 2003, the President's office requested the staff of the Commission on Theology and Church Relations (CTCR) to offer guidelines for the "Igniting Congregations" initiative to ensure that the "effort be thoroughly grounded in God's Word and on our Lutheran understanding of the necessity of the proper distinction between Law and Gospel..."  Learn more about this request and the Commission's response.>>
