According to Bylaws 3.12.3.1 and 3.12.3.2, the election of members to the Committee for Convention Nominations is conducted at specifically identified district conventions. Therefore, the membership of the Committee is not yet known. The procedure outlined in this Bylaw 3.12.3.4 states that the Secretary of the Synod is responsible for soliciting names of candidates for possible nominees from officers and members of boards, commissions, and agencies of the Synod 24 months prior to the convention. Therefore, the 2007 nominating form is being made available at this time.
The form may be downloaded, filled in, printed, signed, and sent in via U.S. mail to the address listed on it. It is not set up to be sent electronically. The deadline for submitting names and information for consideration by the Committee will be October 14, 2006.
