Kristin Lange,
Serving the Lord in Germany

Bio

Kristin LangeKristin Lange serves the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) as a career missionary in Germany. Kristin is the managing director for the International Lutheran Society of Wittenberg, gGmbH (ILSW). In this role, she provides strategic, organizational and operational oversight of The Wittenberg Project and the International Lutheran Center. Through various programming, she also reaches out to the residents of Wittenberg and the surrounding areas with the Gospel. By establishing this confessional Lutheran presence in Wittenberg, Kristin invites people worldwide to come and deepen their understanding and appreciation of the gifts that have come from the Reformation.

Kristin was born in Concordia, Mo., raised in Topeka, Kan., and lived in Orange County, Calif. Her home congregation is Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church of Irvine, Calif. She received a bachelor’s degree in German and English from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn. Prior to serving in Germany, Kristin worked in the Undergraduate Admissions Office at Concordia University, Irvine, Calif. Her hobbies include traveling, singing, reading, being outdoors and sunsets.

Prayers

Please pray for Kristin as she transitions to living and serving in Germany. Ask God to provide her companionship in Wittenberg as she is the only LCMS missionary living in that town. Ask God to guide Kristin and the ILSW Board members as they determine and coordinate what is next for this new program. Pray the minds and hearts of the Wittenberg residents are prepared to receive the Gospel. Pray also that they take joy and pride in realizing how their town played such a huge role in the history of the Church. Pray the hearts of people here in the United States are moved to pray for and to financially support Kristin so they can “go with” her as she serves. Let us give thanks to God that Kristin is serving His children in Germany.
