Bio

The Rev. Timothy and Lisa Sandeno serve the Lord as missionaries through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Germany. In his role as a church planter, Tim brings Word and Sacrament to U.S. military members stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base and to other English speakers as he works to establish a congregation in the area. 

Tim received his undergraduate degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and served in the U.S. Navy for several years before becoming a pastor. Since earning his M.Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Tim has served parishes in South Carolina, Maine and Minnesota as a church planter, parish pastor and intentional interim pastor. In 2023, he led a short-term mission team to the Czech Republic, which his wife, Lisa, also joined. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hiking and backpacking.

Lisa has held various roles over the years, including as an esthetician, a bank teller and in sales. She enjoys fitness classes, crocheting, sewing and hiking. The Sandenos’ home congregation is Praise Lutheran Church in Maryville, Tenn., and they have three adult children and two grandchildren living in the U.S. 

Prayers

Pray for the Sandenos as they serve in Germany. Ask God to guide them and to open the hearts of those they meet to the Gospel. Ask God to give them strength and support as they transition to a new location and culture. Give thanks to God that Tim and Lisa are serving God’s people in this part of the world.
