The month of October kicks off another yearlong celebration of church worker appreciation in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
Lutherans and education go hand in hand.
Since the LCMS was founded in 1847, the Synod has committed itself to teaching the next generation. Today that means that nearly 200,000 LCMS school children are hearing the Gospel, day after day.
It’s a joy to imagine the songs being sung in 1,100+ early childhood centers and Bible passages being memorized in 750+ elementary schools. Middle and high school students are growing deeper in their faith, sharing the Gospel with their classmates, and preparing for God-pleasing vocations that will serve both the church and the world.
LCMS School Ministry supports these schools, their teachers and their administrators so that these devoted workers can focus on supporting children and families. LCMS School Ministry even has resources that can help you plant a new school or expand your existing one.
