About

The Rev. Christopher Amen serves the Lord as a missionary through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in the Dominican Republic. In his role as a church planter, Christopher preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the local people, supporting the established congregations in the area and helping to plant new Lutheran churches.
Born and raised a Texan, Christopher has served as a parish pastor to congregations in Nevada and Wisconsin, and most recently served St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pipestone, Minn. Christopher also served as a police chaplain in Wisconsin, and he is a nationally certified emergency medical technician with experience serving in a local ambulance association. In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, outdoor recreation, and board games.
Rebecca has held various teaching roles, including teaching at an inner-city Lutheran school in Milwaukee and working as a childcare teacher and pre-K teaching assistant at their parish school in Wisconsin. She currently homeschools the five Amen children: Zachary, Matthias, Lydia, Laura and Malachi. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, sewing and reading.

Pray for the Amens as they serve in the Dominican Republic. Ask God to bless them as they transition to this new location, learning a new language and culture. Ask God to open the hearts of those they meet that many may come to the saving knowledge of Christ. Give thanks to God that the Amens are serving His people in this part of the world.
