About
Stanley and Dana Stigdon serve the Lord as missionaries through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in the Dominican Republic. As regional business manager, Stan partners with the regional director to keep mission work running smoothly in Latin America and the Caribbean. He helps missionaries with their everyday needs of housing and transportation, and he also helps to create and run programs, projects and systems that make the organization stronger and more efficient — all in support of spreading the Gospel. As volunteer coordinator, Dana collaborates with short-term mission teams and the local community for recruitment, placement and support of short-term volunteers. Through this work, Dana hopes to educate and inspire volunteers to become advocates, long-term supporters and servants in their own churches and communities.
Stan grew up in the Midwest, earning a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Concordia University Chicago (CUC), River Forest, Ill., and a master’s degree in business management from George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
Dana’s family moved frequently during her childhood, spending time in Argentina, among other places. She holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in computer science, from CUC and Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md., respectively.
Pray for the Stigdons as they serve in the Dominican Republic. Ask God to give them comfort, strength and guidance in their roles and as they improve their language capabilities. Give thanks to God that the Stigdons are serving God’s people in Latin America.
