Christian Boehlke serves as the assistant to the secretary of Synod. In this role, he administers various aspects of the Office of the Secretary's support of the constitutional governance of the Synod; helps with the maintenance of its roster; and assists with the gathering, curation and dissemination of data and analysis key to assessment of historical and current Synod, district and agency ministries, and the planning of future ministries of the Synod.Current foci include digital transformation and revitalization of convention nomination and registration processes by development of a new online form platform and assisting the Commission on Constitutional Matters with research and analysis on educational institution governing documents and congregational constitution templates.
Boehlke served the previous 10 years in the LCMS Office of International Mission. He and his wife, Kristine, have six children: Lillian, Lydia, Sophia, Evelyn, Levi and Esther. The family currently lives in High Ridge, Mo. They attend Village Lutheran Church in Ladue, Mo.
