The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s Commission on Theology and Church Relations provides an overview of the Lutheran World Federation.

The CTCR’s white paper is titled: “Lutheran World Federation: An Introduction and Evaluation from the Theological Perspective of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.”

The CTCR provides this brief review of the LWF as a resource in advising partner churches about the LWF and the Commission’s concern over their joint membership with the LWF.

The LCMS is not a member of the LWF. It holds membership in the International Lutheran Council.
