About

The Rev. Jason and Anna Marie Steffenson serve the Lord as missionaries through The Lutheran Church— Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Italy, where Jason is a theological educator and church planter, working with local Italians, immigrants and U.S. military members stationed throughout Italy.
The Steffensons are currently members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ardmore, Okla. Jason grew up in Plattville, Ill. He holds a B.A. in theology from Concordia University, Nebraska (CUNE), Seward, Neb., and an M.Div. from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He has volunteered in Israel, the West Bank and Jordan and spent time teaching English as a Second Language in Taiwan. Between 2019 and 2022, he served as pastor of both First Lutheran Church, Ada, Okla., and Hope Lutheran Church, Sulphur, Okla. From 2022 to 2024, he served as an LCMS missionary and theological educator in Tanzania.
Anna Marie is from Jerusalem and attended CUNE. She runs her own small business: Fine Art by Anna Marie. Her artwork is in private, corporate, public, religious and royal collections. She also taught personal finance classes at her local pregnancy resource center and served on the Board of Directors for the LCMS Oklahoma District.
Pray for the Steffenson family as they serve in Italy. Ask God to bless their efforts to learn Italian and to acclimate to their new home. Pray also for the seminarians and students in Italy, that they would be equipped to serve the church and share the Gospel message to the best of their ability. Let us give thanks to God that the Steffensons are serving His people in this part of the world.
