LCMS releases video highlighting recent work of the church
Video shown at all district conventions

ST. LOUIS, June 1, 2012—A new video is now available online that highlights the work of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) through its congregations, districts and the ministries headquartered at the LCMS International Center in St. Louis.
The 16-minute video spotlights ministry from the past 18 months — beginning when the Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison was elected president of the LCMS — and is told through the lens of the emphasis of the church, “Witness, Mercy, Life Together.”
“The world is before us,” Harrison says in the video. “And it has been my experience that whether you go to Asia or Southeast Asia or Indonesia, Sumatra, India, Africa, Central and South America, there is a deep hunger and thirst everywhere we go for faithful, biblical teaching and confessional fidelity. This is precisely the Missouri Synod’s forte.”
Each LCMS district convention will see the video called “Witness, Mercy, Life Together: Blessings – Challenges – Opportunities.” All 35 LCMS districts hold their triennial conventions this year — beginning with North Dakota's in January and ending with Central Illinois’ in July.
The video is available at www.lcms.org/wmltvideo.
