March on the Arch


March 7, 2020 — St. Louis

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod invites congregations, schools and groups to join other pro-life supporters for the March on the Arch in St. Louis on Saturday, March 7.

LCMS Lutherans will gather with other pro-life men, women and children from the bi-state region for a pre-march rally at 12:30 p.m. outside the Planned Parenthood building near downtown St. Louis.

With hymns and prayer on our lips and signs in our hands, we’ll march the four-mile route to the Gateway Arch.


Schedule

  • 11 a.m. — Gather outside Planned Parenthood clinic (4251 Forest Park Ave. in St. Louis)
  • 12:30 p.m. — Pre-march rally outside Planned Parenthood
  • 1 p.m. — March on the Arch begins
  • Mile marker 1 — Laclede Ave. and Grand Blvd.
  • Mile marker 2 — Market St. and N. Ewing Ave.
  • Mile marker 3 — Market St. and 14th St.
  • Arch grounds — Group photo, sponsor and vendor displays, food trucks, and shuttles back to Planned Parenthood

We are calling on LCMS Lutherans to join the March on the Arch, which is sponsored by the Coalition for Life. We pray you will lend your voice as we bear witness to Christ and support life.

Families, singles, youth groups, church leaders, the young, the not-so-young, church choirs — everyone is invited.

Parking and shuttle

Street parking near the Planned Parenthood clinic may be available, including on Lindell Boulevard, Forest Park Avenue, West Pine Boulevard, Laclede Avenue and N. Boyle Avenue.

The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis (4431 Lindell Blvd.) may have open parking spots.

MetroLink has stations near the facility (Cortex Station) and the Arch (Laclede’s Landing). Visit the MetroLink website for schedules and information.

After the march, the Coalition for Life will provide shuttle service from the Gateway Arch to two locations:

  • Forest Park Avenue near the Planned Parenthood clinic
  • The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis
