Gifts to the 2026 LCMS National Offering, “Christ Is Risen! Tell the Next Generation,” will support ongoing domestic work carried out at the local level by LCMS congregations, districts and others, and supported by LCMS Family Ministry, Youth Ministry, Campus Ministry and School Ministry.
Those who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to use the resources on this page to develop a program and apply for a National Offering grant.

Ideas for grant projects
The following ideas are examples of possible grant projects, but projects are not limited to these:
- Local congregational efforts in faith formation, family/youth discipleship or children’s ministry: faith milestones, ministry and education to new parents, devotional training and resources, family camps/retreats.
- Local congregational efforts in family support ministries: parent education; marriage preparation, enrichment, intervention; support for foster care/adoption.
- Schools and congregations intentionally connecting with school families: parenting programs on technology; sexuality; parenting skills; parent events for first-time parents of preschoolers, kindergarteners or high school students; educational events for parents/families. These could be done within the Lutheran school, in the homeschool community or as outreach to area public schools.
- Local congregational efforts in campus or young adult ministry: seminars, conferences, regular gatherings.
- Local congregational efforts in youth ministry and/or ministry to parents of youth: events or programs that teach about human sexuality or Christian worldview, a gathering for youth and/or parents that brings in an outside speaker, youth retreats.
(Note: Sister congregations or circuits may work together on any of the above types of projects but the application must come from one congregation.)
- District events to support families: seminars/conferences that focus on family discipleship, family ministry, youth ministry, children's ministry, young adult ministry.
- Recognized Service Organizations working with families to provide support or training: family events; training for families, youth, young adults or children; retreats for church worker families.
