Bio

Edward and Shauna Strohschein began serving as LCMS missionaries in Hong Kong in 1999. Edward manages the administrative, financial, and property needs in the Asia Pacific region. The LCMS team in Asia Pacific reaches out with the Gospel through many means, but especially towards educational opportunities. Edward provides essential support in his administrative capacity.
Edward, a missionary kid, was born in the Philippines, but eventually returned to the United States. He received his bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind., and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri in St. Louis.
Shauna (Meng) was born in Beijing, China. She holds a bachelor’s degree in library sciences from Beijing Normal University and a master’s degree in education from Beijing Language University. The Strohscheins are members of Timothy Lutheran Church in St. Louis, Mo.
