George and Shary Frahm,
Serving the Lord in Cambodia

Bio

George and Shary Frahm serve the Lord as GEO missionaries through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in Cambodia. (GEO missionaries serve in locations around the world for terms of 1-2 years.) George and Shary are responsible for supervising the Angels Dormitory project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital city. As a part of launching this project from its beginning, George and Shary are carrying out its construction and then its operation as an outreach and mercy ministry among its student residents and their families. Along with other missionaries, they also help carry out youth gatherings and pastoral leadership conferences for Cambodian Christians.

George and Shary are originally from Michigan. They are the founders of Valley International Student Association, an international student ministry at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Mich. Prior to serving in Cambodia, George and Shary served at Universitas Pelita Harapan, a Christian university in Indonesia, as staff, dorm parents and in many other capacities. George holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Kettering University (then General Motors Institute), Flint, Mich., and a Master of Science in welding and industrial engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Shary holds a nursing diploma from the Hurley Hospital School of Nursing, Flint, Mich. The Frahms have three grown children and five grandchildren.

Prayers

Please pray for George and Shary as they serve in Cambodia. They specifically ask for prayers as they learn the Khmer language. Pray that members of the Church would consider how they might be involved in God’s mission in Cambodia. Pray for the Angels Dormitory—that it would be a successful ministry, that the Frahms would have courage and creativity and that the dormitory would serve as a model for similar ministries in the future. Pray too that their family, children, grandchildren and friends would accept and celebrate the sacrifices they’ve made for George and Shary to be able to serve in Cambodia.
