Since 1991, MCI has partnered with the LCMS to provide telecommunication services to our member organizations. Recently MCI was purchased by Verizon Business. Currently over 2,000 LCMS organizations -- churches, schools, RSOs, district and national offices -- purchase services from Verizon Business under the LCMS program/contract. Verizon Business provides a full range of integrated communication services to more than 20 million customers. Verizon Business services include local services (dial tone), long-distance, toll-free services, DSL services, wireless services, e-mail services, storage and hosting solutions, Internet access, VPN's, audio/video and Internet conferencing, along with others.
Employees may receive up to 8% off the monthly access fee on qualifying wireless voice plans of $34.99 or higher. All they have to do is go to http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/index.html and click on Check for Employee Discount on the left. You will be asked to enter your work email address. After completing this task and clicking on Check for Discounts, you will receive an email confirming you are eligible for a discount on phones, calling plans, accessories and more. If you are a customer and the system indicates you do not qualify for this program you will need to go to a Verizon wireless office and provide proof of your employment as well as a previous Verizon invoice. If you do qualify for the program, the email will direct if you are a customer, click on register your line and if not click on shopping shop now. Customers who register their line will need their customer/account number.
