Amanda Groshek,
Serving the Lord in Taiwan
Bio

Amanda Groshek serves the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as a GEO missionary in Taiwan. She teaches English and Bibles class at Concordia English Language Academy (C.E.L.A.) in Chiayi, Taiwan, which allow her to build relationships with her students and coworkers both inside and outside of work. She feels very blessed that she is allowed to share the Good News of Jesus and His love with them both inside and outside of the classroom. Outside of class, Amanda enjoys spending time with her friends, reading and cooking/baking. She also likes music and feels very fortunate that God has allowed her the continued use of this gift in Taiwan through playing and singing at church, amongst other settings.
Amanda grew up in Beloit and Neenah, Wis., and her home congregation is now Faith Lutheran Church in La Crosse, Wis. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a minor in political science.
Prayers
Please pray for Amanda as she serves in Taiwan. She writes, “Please pray as I continue to learn Chinese and build relationships with my Taiwanese friends, coworkers and students. Pray that God would use me as His hands, feet, mouth and anything else He would choose, and that I may serve Him and share His love.” Finally, give thanks to the Lord that Amanda has answered His call to serve the people of Taiwan.
