Bio

Andy and Stephanie Jones serve through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as GEO missionaries. (GEO missionaries are globally engaged in outreach and serve for one- to two-year terms.) The Joneses are based out of Frankfurt, Germany, where Andy serves as a youth and education assistant at Trinity Lutheran Church, an international congregation, and Stephanie serves as the communication specialist for Eurasia. Andy works with the LCMS pastor at Trinity and other members to carry out the youth ministry program and lead the youth group, youth choir and youth education program. He also mentors youth through Bible studies, retreats and other activities, and participates in outreach to youth in the community. As the communication specialist for Eurasia, Stephanie helps to collect information and produce various means of sharing and celebrating about the work that God is doing through LCMS people and projects across the vast region of Eurasia. This includes drafting articles, covering events, producing video content, editing and publishing mission news and more.

Andy is from Paynesville, Minn., and Stephanie is from Pequot Lakes, Minn. Their home congregation is Concordia Lutheran Church in South St. Paul, Minn. Andy graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul, with a bachelor’s degree in theology, and then served as the campus ministry associate. Stephanie graduated from Concordia in St. Paul as well, with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies. Andy and Stephanie were married in April 2008. Andy enjoys writing, reading, video games and sports in his free time, and Stephanie enjoys photography, dance, technology, theater and traveling. Both Andy and Stephanie have previously served internationally on short-term mission trips and as long-term teachers.

Prayers

Please remember the Joneses in your prayers as they serve the Lord in Germany. Ask the Holy Spirit to help them adjust to their new roles and cultural surroundings. Pray that the Lord would protect them and bless them as Stephanie travels frequently and Andy educates and supports the Trinity youth and congregation in Frankfurt. Finally, pray that the Lord would use them to communicate with passion the stories of our Eurasia missionaries and partner churches.
