Ethnic and Specialized Ministries
The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and many of its Recognized Service Organizations (RSOs) specialize in ministry to specific groups and ethnicities. These specialized ministries and RSOs include:
LCMS Black Ministry
LCMS Black Ministry provides encouragement and assistance to 258 congregations and schools within the LCMS for predominantly black populations or those engaged intentionally to reach with the Gospel of Jesus Christ an indigenous community that surrounds them.
LCMS Hispanic Ministry
LCMS Hispanic Ministry encourages and upholds the work of pastors, deaconesses and laypeople around the country who are engaged in outreach among the Latino population.

Lutheran Heritage Foundation
The Lutheran Heritage Foundation translates and publishes books of Christian faith —genuine Lutheran books that are Bible-based, Christ-centered and Reformation driven. More than 450 books — for pastors and seminary students, for schools and churches, and for children and adults — have been translated, published and distributed in nearly 90 languages for about 80 nations.
