Bio

Andrew and Noel Schaff serve the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Taiwan. Andrew has served as a Bible teacher and an English-as-a-Foreign-Language (EFL) teacher at Concordia Middle School in the city of ChiaYi for 15 years. They are both involved in relational building ministries through the school and community.

In addition, the Schaffs are involved in ministry programs at Salvation Lutheran Church, ChiaYi. Andrew serves as an elder and both serve as teachers for a Friday night English Bible study program at the church.

Andrew was born in Charles City, Iowa, and graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University, Nebraska, Seward. Later in 2004, he earned his Lutheran teacher’s diploma as well. Andrew has interests in history and board games and enjoys reading.

Born in Fremont, Neb., Noel graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska, Seward, in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in education and her Lutheran teacher’s diploma. She enjoys music, travel, hiking and pets. Andrew and Noel consider Salvation Lutheran Church, ChiaYi, Taiwan, their home congregation.

Prayers

Pray for Andrew and Noel as they continue to reach out to their students, students’ families and others who they serve and meet in Taiwan. They ask individuals to pray “that we would serve the Lord with gladness and competence” and that “we are effective as teachers in sharing the Gospel of Christ.” Let us give thanks to God the Schaffs are serving His people in this part of the world.
