Rev. Joe Asher

Bio
Rev. Joe Asher serves the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Germany. Joe is the pastor of Kaiserslautern Evangelical Lutheran Church (KELC), which serves the surrounding English-speaking community. He also reaches out and serves the United States military personnel living on the military bases in the area.
Joe and Jennie are members of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Apostles, Melrose Park, Ill. Joe received a bachelor’s degree in communication from Indiana University, Bloomington, his Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., and a master’s degree in communication from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind. In his free time, Joe enjoys writing and traveling.
Jennie received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in special education from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn. She earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies and her deaconess certification from Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, Ill., and her doctorate in educational technology from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Ill. Jennie assists with ministry to the women in the congregation and helps with other ministry aspects as needed. In her free time, she enjoys baking, cooking and gardening.
Prayers
Please pray for Joe as he serves in Germany. Pray that the Lord would open doors to reaching U.S. military personnel in the Kaiserslautern area. Pray that Joe and Jennie are both effective and bold witnesses to the Gospel. Let us give thanks that Joe is serving in this part of the world.
