Virtual Life Conference 2013 Videos

Held in conjunction with the 2013 national “March for Life,” LCMS Life Ministry hosted the first LCMS Life Conference on Jan. 25-26 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel, Arlington, Va. The conference title was “Lutherans and Pro-Life Advocacy — Good and Acceptable Service,” based on 1 Tim. 2:1-4. With more than 300 participants, the conference offered tips for individuals, groups and congregations on pro-life advocacy at the local, state and national levels. The conference also discussed theological motivation, encouragement and practical suggestions for becoming more active in the public arena. Conference participants also took part in the 40th March for Life, which drew a record number of Lutherans. The event protests the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in the United States. Since that decision, more than 50 million children have been aborted in the United States.
