Hayden Rensner

Serving the Lord in the Czech Republic

Bio

Hayden Rensner serves the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in the Czech Republic. In this role, Hayden tutors students from the Luther Academy in Riga, Latvia, in English and works with the Silesian Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession and their mission organization, EC M.I.S.E. (which translated into English means Evangelization Center Mobilization, Integration, Fellowship, Evangelizing), to provide outreach opportunities in English in the Czech Republic. During the summer months, she also helps coordinate summer volunteer opportunities throughout the Eurasia region.

Hayden is from Effingham, Ill., where she grew up at Faith Lutheran Church in Shumway, Ill. She now attends Faith Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, S.D., where her father serves as pastor. Hayden attended Concordia University, Nebraska, Seward, Neb., where she triple majored in theology, world and intercultural studies, and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Between 2018 and 2019, she participated in three international mission trips, including two LCMS Mercy Medical Team trips to Sierra Leone. In addition, Hayden led a women’s Bible study during college and raised support for the university’s student scholarship fund. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, spending time with family and friends, playing the ukulele, and juggling.

Prayers

Pray for Hayden as she serves in the Czech Republic. Ask God to be with her as she adjusts to life there and forms relationships with the people she serves. Pray that God would open ears and hearts in the Czech Republic and throughout the region, that more people would hear the Gospel and that the faith of current believers would become even stronger. Give thanks to God for Hayden and all the missionaries who serve His people in the Eurasia region.

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Inc., including Mission Central (in Mapleton, Iowa), is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity.

A contribution designated (restricted) for a specific purpose, when accepted, will be used only to fund expenses related to that purpose. Occasionally, we may receive more in contributions for a particular purpose than can be wisely applied to it in the foreseeable future or the purpose may cease to be feasible. In these situations, the LCMS will make reasonable attempts to contact contributors to apply their contribution toward another aspect of ministry that aligns closely the contributor’s goals and values. If a contributor cannot be contacted, the LCMS will use the gift to meet a similar pressing need that most closely matches the contributor's original intent.

Consistent with Synod Board policy and in recognition of a more challenging economic and philanthropic/fundraising environment due to inflationary pressure, not more than 12.5 percent of any charitable contribution will be allocated to administering gifts and communicating with contributors (compared to a not-more-than ceiling of 10.5 percent the previous fiscal year). Contributions received and accepted by the LCMS are deemed to be in agreement with this statement.
