Rev. David and Shelee Warner

Serving the Lord in Spain

Bio

Rev. David and Shelee Warner serve the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) as missionaries in Spain, based in Cartagena. David serves as a church planter, working with the LCMS mission team and Spanish church leaders to grow the Spanish Lutheran church. He leads Divine Service every Sunday in Cartagena or Madrid, visits and serves members across Spain and assists with pastoral formation and theological education.

David was born, baptized and raised in Montana. Shelee was born and baptized in Oregon and grew up in Idaho. They met in Spanish class at the University of Idaho, Moscow.

Before accepting the call to serve in Spain, David served 10 years as a dual parish pastor at Trinity and St. John Lutheran Churches in Sidney and Fairview, Mont.

Shelee has many years’ experience working in Pro-Life ministries, previously as the executive director of Sunrise Women’s Clinic in Sidney, Mont.

Prayers

Please pray:

    • Give thanks for the doors God is opening for the Gospel to be proclaimed in Spain and ask Him to work through His people to proclaim His powerful Word;
    • For the members of the Spanish Lutheran church, that they grow in faith, knowledge and joy, deepening their foundation in the Gospel of Jesus Christ;
    • For several Spanish men who are studying to be pastors and serving in congregations, as well as for the two Spanish pastors who now serve;
    • For God’s wisdom and guidance as David continues to focus on strengthening the current three congregations, providing new member classes and mentoring men in pastoral formation; and
    • For David and Shelee as they live and serve in Spain, that they continue to have joy in speaking of Christ and that they continue to receive the needed prayer and financial support.

A contribution designated (restricted) for a specific purpose when accepted, will be used only to fund expenses related to that purpose.
