Blake and Elizabeth Warren

Serving the Lord in the Latin America and Caribbean Region

Blake and Elizabeth Warren serve the Lord as missionaries through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in the Latin America and Caribbean region, based in the Dominican Republic. As this region’s business manager, Blake works closely with Rev. Ted Krey, the regional director of the Latin America and Caribbean region, to manage the financial and business affairs of the LCMS in this part of the world. Blake also supports the LCMS missionaries serving in this region and works with local church partners on various projects.

Blake was born in Escondido, Calif. His home congregation is Faith Community Lutheran Church and Schools, Las Vegas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a master’s degree in information technology from the University of Phoenix. Before serving as a missionary, Blake worked for Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas (2005-2014) and in various other roles in the business and information technology fields. Since 2012, he has participated in two Foros (forums) and has served on two short-term mission trips to the Dominican Republic. In his free time, Blake enjoys baseball and hiking.

Elizabeth was born in Escondido, Calif., and her home congregation is Faith Community Lutheran Church and Schools, Las Vegas, as well. She received a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach. Before heading to the Dominican Republic, Elizabeth worked as a preschool teacher at Faith Lutheran Preschool in Las Vegas. She also served on one short-term mission trip to the Dominican Republic in June 2014. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys hiking, being a part of a Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group and spending time with her family. Blake and Elizabeth have three beautiful daughters, Abigail, Rachel and Joanna, who join them on the mission field.

Pray for the Warrens as they serve in the Latin America and Caribbean region. Pray God gives them strength and peace as they transition to life overseas, learning the culture and the language so they may effectively communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ. Please also pray the hearts of people here in the United States are moved through the power of the Holy Spirit to pray for and to financially support the Warrens so they can “go with” this family on this journey of faith. Let us give thanks that Blake, Elizabeth and their daughters are serving God’s children in this part of the world.

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Inc., including Mission Central (in Mapleton, Iowa), is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity.

A contribution designated (restricted) for a specific purpose when accepted, will be used only to fund expenses related to that purpose. Occasionally, we may receive more in contributions for a particular purpose than can be wisely applied to it in the foreseeable future or the purpose may cease to be feasible. In these situations, the LCMS will make reasonable attempts to contact contributors to apply their contribution differently. If a contributor cannot be contacted, the LCMS will use the gift to meet a similar pressing need that most closely matches the contributor's original intent. Consistent with Synod Board policy, no more than 13.5 percent of a charitable contribution may be allocated to administering gifts and communicating with contributors. Contributions received and accepted by the LCMS are deemed to be in agreement with this statement.
