Young Adult Corps Community Partners

Community Partners are The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod churches, LCMS campus ministries, Recognized Service Organizations, and community organizations where Lutheran Youth Adult Corps participants serve.

Community Partners go through a simple application process that tells about their organization and how they would like to use Corps participants. Applicants provide guidance on which Corps participants might work best in their organization and supervision during the Corps participant’s service.

Community Partners can ask for Corps participants to serve for as little as 10 hours a week up to 40 hours per week. They can choose to use participants for 10 weeks, 10 months, or both.

Each Community Partner pays a one-time placement fee for each term. This placement fee is on a sliding scale based on the hours of service desired and their annual budget. For more information about the placement fee, please contact Program Manager Julianna Shults.

For the 2017-18 program year, Corps participants will only be placed in St. Louis, Boston, Philadelphia, and New Orleans.

If you want information about expanding Lutheran Young Adult Corps into your city, please contact Shults.

To apply, Community Partners must complete the application form and the position description.
