Britt Anderson,
Serving the Lord in Kenya
Bio

Britt Anderson serves the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as a GEO missionary. (GEO missionaries are globally engaged in outreach and serve in locations around the world for terms of 1-2 years.) Britt works with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya to expand preschool education programs. She serves primarily with the Spring of Life congregation, where she is working to restore the preschool program and help it expand into a primary school. Britt also advises a new children’s rescue center in the Matongo/Kisii area about education issues.
Britt is from Palo Alto, Calif., and she has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Concordia University, Irvine. She is a member of Christ Lutheran Church and School in Costa Mesa, where she served as preschool teacher and director from 2002 until 2012. God prepared Britt for her work in Africa through four short-term mission trips, three of which were in Kenya. During these trips, Britt helped at a rescue center, led vacation Bible school and taught health and hygiene classes. Britt’s hobbies include reading and hiking.
Prayers
Please pray for Britt as she adapts to her new life in Kenya. She writes, “Please pray for the children and families who will be a part of this new ministry and that we will be able to share the Gospel with them. Please also pray that I will be able to learn Swahili so that I can communicate openly with them.” Thanks be to God for Britt’s service to the children of Kenya.
