Fan Into Flame

Fan into Flame is a campaign to gather financial support to fund new mission projects and initiatives in the United States and around the world.
Fan into Flame was endorsed in 2004 by the Synod in convention, and its goal is to secure $100 million to support mission work.
All congregations and districts were invited to join in Fan into Flame. Mission support given to the campaign from congregations will be distributed to international and national mission projects, and a portion of it will also return to the district and congregation. This model is based on Acts 1:8 in which Jesus promises His disciples that they will be witnesses “in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”
The campaign celebrated the close of its active phase on Reformation Day, October 31, 2011, but the fulfillment of pledged gifts from faithful, mission-minded believers will continue to bless the global Gospel work of the LCMS for up to five years. It is a critical step to fund the Ablaze! movement’s innovative projects and programs that share the Gospel with 100 million people.
