Bio

Rev. Jeffrey and Lora Horn serve the Lord as LCMS missionaries in Papua New Guinea, where Jeffrey trains and supports pastors of the Gutnius Lutheran Church. In addition to teaching at Timothy Seminary and looking for ways to strengthen the education available there, Jeffrey travels to remote villages to provide continuing education for pastors. Lora supports the missionary team in Papua New Guinea, while also homeschooling their two children, Chris and Maggie.

Jeffrey is from Chatsworth, Calif., and he earned a bachelor’s degree in humanities from Concordia University, Irvine, Calif., before receiving his Master of Divinity and Master of Sacred Theology from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind. Lora’s hometown is Las Vegas, Nev., and she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. Most recently, she worked with the developmentally disabled as a case manager, and she anticipates graduating with a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2013. Jeffrey and Lora both enjoy baseball, gardening and reading. The Horn family’s home congregation is Zion Lutheran Church in Garrett, Ind., where Jeffrey served as pastor from 2003 to 2012.

Prayers
