“Strong, healthy communities are more than bricks and mortar. They are built in the care of the body and soul.”
— Marie Kienker, former executive director, LCMS National Housing Support Corp.
Many times congregations look out over the blighted, destroyed neighborhoods surrounding their churches and search for ways to help those they see in need. They want their neighborhoods to be vibrant, inviting, safe places once again but don’t know where to begin or how to reach out and share the love of Christ with those who live close to the altars of their churches.
This is where LCMS National Housing Support Corporation (NHSC) can step in to help by sharing successful revitalization models such as the highly successful Nehemiah plan.
