Josh Lange,
Serving the Lord in Asia

Bio

Josh Lange serves the Lord in Asia with Concordia Welfare and Education Foundation (CWEF), a Hong Kong-based non-profit organization that works with impoverished communities in China and Cambodia. CWEF seeks to affect lasting change in these communities through education and health initiatives.

Josh is based in Shanghai, China and serves as director of operations for CWEF. He works with local and foreign staff members to ensure that programs are planned and carried out according to CWEF’S vision, mission and values. Previously, Josh served as Shanghai service coordinator with CWEF and as communications specialist with The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s Asia Pacific region, based out of Hong Kong.

Josh grew up in Jefferson City, Mo., where his home congregation is Faith Lutheran Church. He attended high school at Saint Paul Lutheran High in Concordia, Mo., and graduated from the University of Missouri with a marketing degree. He worked for a marketing and advertising agency in St. Louis, Mo., before moving to Hong Kong in 2008 to begin his service with the LCMS. Josh enjoys golf, swimming, hiking, reading and learning Chinese.

Please pray for Josh: that He stays close to God and seeks His wisdom at every step; for strong relationships with CWEF staff and with local school and government partners; that God will bring forth many new people to serve and to support the work of CWEF in China and Cambodia; for Josh’s language learning and his effective use of communication; and for Josh’s safety, good health and spiritual protection.
