Project Clean Water
We all need water. But some families do not have safe water to drink.
Project: Clean Water is a partnership of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Office of International Mission and Concordia Publishing House's Amazing Desert Journey VBS 2012. Mission funds raised through Amazing Desert Journey will go to support efforts to help bring clean water to children in faraway countries.
Did you know?
- 99 percent of the earth's water is unsafe or not available for drinking.
- More than half of the people in hospitals in developing countries are sick because of unclean water.
- Every year, almost 2 million children die because they do not have access to clean water.
You Can Help!
Children in your VBS can make a difference in the world! Encourage your participants to help bring clean water to children in faraway country by donating their coins. When you support Project: Clean Water, you show God's love to people in need.
- $10 provides a water filter for children in Cambodia.
- $35 provides a water filtration system for a family in Haiti.
- $500 will help bring water to a community in rural China.
